Needless Death

It saddens me to announce that my wife’s friend Jon passed away. I didn’t know him very well, but I do know that he enjoyed life, and that he was taken too soon. He found joy in just riding his bike around town. He was the victim of a drunk driver who hit him during one of these bike rides. Addiction and abuse of mind altering substances leads to so many unnecessary deaths in this world. For the sake of escaping reality for a little while, choices are made that cost lives. Sometimes the lives of the abusers themselves, but more often than not those of the innocent. Please take a moment to pray for Jon’s family, for other victims of substance abuse, and for addicts themselves. I can’t speak for everyone else, but as for me this further fuels my desire to help the suffering in any way I can. We all need healing. We all need God. If you have a substance abuse problem, consider escaping into God’s love, as opposed to the black hole of further destruction. Please don’t hesitate to use the contact form on this site if you need someone to talk to. God bless you all.
